Heard of Dubturbo? Maybe, maybe not. But, if you haven’t, let me give you a quick description. It’s a beat-making program for those who are looking to get started with beat making. It’s not for professionals, they probably want something more complex and expensive. But, if you would like an intuitive, easy-to-use beat-making application that can handle anything you throw at it, then you should give Dubturbo a try. It has a 16-track sequencer, which gives you lots of options in regards to complexity and layers of your songs. It also gives you the abitliy to make and produce songs not only in .mp3 format, but .wav format, which is higher quality. That way, your sound hit the human ear just like any other professionally made song that you hear on tv or radio. That’s one of the best features about it in my opinion. Give it a try and you’ll love it.

Thursday, November 3rd, 2011I Love the Yamaha Tyros 4
Monday, October 31st, 2011I absolutely love the Yamaha Tyros 4. I can’t believe what a spectacular piece of equipment this is for a keyboard player, and not just any keyboard player, but novice keyboard players! It is absolutely spectacular that there is finally a perfect solution for those people who really struggle to know which type of keyboard to take on. I know so many people who have absolutely no idea what type of keyboard they should be buying when they first decide to buy a keyboard. But now there is just one option that I would suggest. Before I would have said it might be wise to invest in very basic keyboards, but now there is finally a keyboard that can actually aid learning and can still be used even after you have passed the beginner’s stage and that keyboard is the Yamaha Tyros 4. So many people have now thanked me for suggesting this great keyboard to them!
The Eastern Hurricane
Wednesday, October 26th, 2011Not too long ago, the East Coast was hit by a huge hurricane. A lot places were flooded. Much of the city was damaged. As for me, I didn’t face much damages, but my favorite digital piano was broken. The Yamaha P155 was no longer working. For more information on the Yamaha P155, click here.
Now, I know a lot of you are probably thinking that this is a minor problem. That is true. However, since I haven’t personally faced any damages aside from the broken Yamaha P155, I feel that this is just a huge letdown. I really loved that digital piano. It was something I am extremely emotionally attached to, especially because I played it everyday.
Although many people lost much more because of the hurricane, I didn’t go unscathed. I lost my Yamaha P155, which was my most precious digital piano. I hope to replace it one day, but it won’t have that same emotional value.
Vocal Exercises Can Help You Sing Higher Notes
Wednesday, September 28th, 2011Being able to sing higher notes is largely dependent on whether or not you are doing your vocal warm up exercises daily.
So if you want to learn how to sing high notes I have just given you one of the secrets in the first sentence. Singing high notes is based on several factors but none are quite as important as doing the hard work of daily vocal exercises. I am going to give you a couple of quicker ways to get there, but nothing will ever replace the need to continue doing your vocal exercises.
The best way I know to sing higher notes has to do with the combination of voice exercises and lip trills. If you do not know what lips trills are let me give you a run down of how to do them. If you take two finger and place them on either side of your cheeks about one half an inch from your mouth where you can feel your teeth through your cheeks then blow, that is how you do lip trills. Make sure that your lips are not tight but nice and supple and relaxed so that they flap easily.
Okay so now that you know how to do lip trills you need to start doing vocal exercises on any scale and start working higher up into your range. Once you get to the place where you are having a hard time hitting the note without strain, bend at the waist and watch how you can hit higher notes more easily and without strain.
This is a trick that the pros use to sing higher notes because once you are able to hit these notes when bending at the waist they become easier to hit when you are not bending at the waist due to muscles memory.
Another way to hit higher notes with less strain is to sing your vocal exercise scale with staccato notes instead of legato notes at first. This just means that you use short and disconnected bursts of air rather than notes that are melodic and strung together.
Doing these notes first in staccato allows you to hit higher notes more quickly and like the bending at the waist trick you will build muscle memory that will allow you to sing these higher notes within a short period of time without the crutch of bending at the waist or singing staccato notes.
With preparation of you songs and with this new way of singing higher notes, you will have the confidence to step foot onto stage with less anxiety and far less stage fright. Don’t let stage fright affect your singing because you just need to use that energy to have the best performance you can.
Incomparable Performance from Janet Jackson
Monday, September 26th, 2011Like many other pop artists, Janet Jackson started her singing career at an early age. She started in 1993 and by the end of 1990s, she was named as the second most successful recording artist of the decade. Taking note of this accomplishment, everybody can say that she made it to the top without too much trouble. This is because of her incomparable performances everytime she went out on stage for a live performance. Althroughout her career, Janet Jackson has amassed an extensive catalog of hits with singles such as ‘Nasty’, ‘All For You’, and ‘That’s The Way Love Goes’, among many others. Fans and alike never get tired of listening to her songs and imitating her dance moves or choregraphy can be seen even on streets and schools. These are just some of the reasons why the Janet Jackson tickets are gone in seconds everytime they announce a Janet Jackson live show. Everyone wants to watch her perform and listen to her music as she sings her heart out loud.
Men Looking out for Men
Sunday, September 25th, 2011There are plenty of songs about guys that get around and are players, but it is harder to find ones about women players. However one of the most well known 80s songs made this the theme of their song.
Phill Collins was a popular 80s artist and he collaborated with Phillip Bailey the falsetto voiced lead singer of Earth, Wind & Fire for the hit song “Easy Lover”.
The song is about a woman who is easy to get because she gets with lots of men. She is painted to be very attractive and persuasive as they warn “she’ll get a hold on you – believe it”. They even go as far as saying that not only will she get a hold on you, but you will probably fall for her because “she’s the kind of girl you dream of”.
However they are quick to dismiss the possibility of any lasting love as they say “you better forget it you’ll never get it”. Even though you may want to change her, it is futile because she never changes and “you’re not the only one” who would have tried.
What Guitar Supplies Are Available
Sunday, June 26th, 2011Guitar supplies can include a number of different items, each of which will be different depending on your make an model of guitar. You can find stores online which offer guitar supplies at reasonable prices, many of which will offer the occasional deal, or offer. Shopping online for your guitar supplies can be easier than visiting a more traditional shop and you may also have more choice. One of the most common purchases for your guitar will be the strings, you will find as you progress through you guitar playing adventures that you go through a lot of strings, either due to accidental breakages, or just through them getting old and a bit frail. Another of the more common guitar items bought from these kinds of shops are plectrums, or picks. I know from personal experience that pick are easily lost, especially if you have children, so it is important that you stock up.
Poetry House Readings
Sunday, June 26th, 2011There are not many old school poetry houses left in the United States. This is a real shame, as these present a unique environment that is not found anywhere else. Of course you can visit a Blues House or something similar but the feel is just not quite right. If you are lucky to have a poetry house near you, you should certainly book a few reading gigs. It is difficult for these places to stay open due to the decreasing interest and lack of talent ready to read their poems to a crowd. If you decided to book a gig you are helping the cause of keeping them running. You should not worry about being judged as the people that hang out in these areas are very open and likeable. They will not criticize you unless it is in a helpful way, such as telling you to hold the mic closer.
Hip Hop Beats Part 4
Thursday, June 9th, 2011That is amazing to me that with this beat maker software you can create your own hip hop beats for a very low cost and just some work on your own part and within 4 to 6 months you could be making some very serious money and the best part is that Jane will be making money doing what she loves to do. Jane loves to entertain people with her music and with her beat making software she has been able to get a huge following and become somewhat of a celebrity in her part of the city and all at cost of $100 and some hard work on her part. You have to wonder how many people don’t get to live their music dream because they have failed to find out that they can get stared for $100 and lets face it – who doesn’t have $100 and who can’t find a $100 especially when its for your dreams.
Piano Lessons with a Modern Approach
Tuesday, March 15th, 2011The thought of playing the piano is a bit intimidating to many people. Reading two different sets of music, one for each hand, then add the timing and the rest symbols, memorizing chords and the names of the notes is a bit overwhelming to new students. Traditional methods teach you to read music before you play, so there is a lot to learn before you can actually make music. Then the first songs you are exposed to are simple little boring songs. With this new method of piano lessons you get a whole new approach. You are given some basic chords to use on the left hand and shown how to combine them with the melody on the right hand. You will receive over 200 videos and 500 audios, so you will see on the video and hear how it is supposed to sound. It will be just like having a teacher next to you, and you will be playing music right away.
Using Music in Football
Tuesday, February 8th, 2011One interesting thing about the football season this year was the use of background music in some of the games. It is very interesting that a game like football; which is very exciting, can still use the music to make it even more exciting. I find the idea to be a great and innovative way to make just about anything more interesting to watch. It is cool to think about all the other things that background music could help make much more exciting. When I think about other things that could be improved by music, I always think about just about every other sport. I do not think that it is too far of a stretch to think a little music while waiting for a pitcher to deliver the fastball or waiting for the horse to cross the finish line. Films use background music all the time, and I think that sports could really use some music as well.

Tuesday, February 1st, 2011Now, why would you want to use royalty free music? What is the difference between royalty free music and other “normal” kinds of music? Wonder no more. Royalty free music is a kind of music which you can use in any way, without ever worrying about paying royalties to the publisher, song company or the artiste. Although royalty free music is typically more expensive than commercial music, media producers and professionals will find it invaluable in their work as they only need to pay one fee, ever. All our downloads are available as a 44.1 kHz / 16-bit wav file contained in a zip folder. This lossless format ensures ultimate quality in your final work, no matter what you choose to do. Our music can be used for TV broadcasts up to two hundred and fifty miles away and in the whole of Europe. It can also be streamed from a single web site, used for student film festivals et cetera. Use royalty free music and save on your production costs.
There Are Many Free Music Sites on the Web Today
Thursday, December 16th, 2010If you are looking for free music then there is no better place to look than on the internet. The advent of the internet has now meant that musicians increasingly face a difficult task in trying to make money from their songs. Now people can download free music without paying musicians any money. While the internet has definitely been very helpful to many small bands in helping them to reach a wider audience, it has also made it much more difficult for bands to make money online.
Downloading music can take money away from musicians and leave them unable to make money in the future for their efforts. Unless musicians can make money from their songs then they will find it more difficult to produce music in the future, however, the fact that singers and songwriters can make free music online means that it is far easier to get their songs heard by more people.
