Blood clots in the blood can form if a person is not moving a lot. He/she might also get blood clots if he/she had the following:
1. Had a history or a recent surgery.
2. Is 65 years of age or older.
3. Takes in hormones such as birth control pills. (You can ask your doctor about this).
4. Had a history or present cancer which is currently being treated.
5. Have a broken bone such as in the pelvis, hips or legs.
6. Had a recent injury or bruised.
7. Is Obese.
8. Is confirmed to a chair or bed for most of the time.
9. Been paralyzed because of stroke.
10. Had bad veins or varicose veins.
11. Blood clots run in the family.
12. Had a long trip in a bus, train, or airplane.
If you have or more of the previous list, you might have some blood clots, or if not, you can be highly risked. You must talk to your doctor about this, so he may help you on what to do for blood clots.
